“The past year has been a very different and difficult time for the global economy. At the same time, businesses are still actively seeking to connect and build relationships during this trying period, and SBMA has been helping to facilitate such activities. As the global economy picks up and seeks to normalise, we are pleased to share that SBMA has kept active engagements with businesses in the precious metals industry”, Albert Cheng, CEO of SBMA, said.

For the last four years, Singapore has been a source of emulation and inspiration for us and globally in terms of safe trade, innovation and business”, Jacopo Monteforte Specchi, CEO of Certiline, said.

The Perth Mint is Australia’s official bullion mint and wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia. With more than 120 years of precious metal minting experience, it manufactures and distributes platinum, silver and gold coins for collectors and customers worldwide.

“The Perth Mint recognises the importance of the Asian region to the global gold market and Singapore as a key trading hub. We look forward to working with the SBMA and its members to further strengthen our relationship with the wider precious metals industry while supporting and promoting growth of the developing markets in the region”, Richard Hayes, CEO of The Perth Mint, said.

Trovio is a leading commodities digitisation company based in Australia. Its vision is to improve the efficiency and transparency of the global commodities market. Trovio’s technologies enable its partners to access new markets, develop new distribution channels and offer investment products that meet ESG needs of the modern investor.

Joining the SBMA is particularly apt for Trovio as we are committed to providing our partners in APAC with technologies that enable new digital market pathways, traceability on supply, and access to an increasing suite of sustainable precious metals products”, Jon Deane, CEO of Trovio, said.

Martin Huxley, Chairman of SBMA, welcomed the new members on board, noting that some of these companies have supported the Association in past conferences and events. “I believe each will contribute positively to the Singapore precious metals market scene and SBMA will continue to serve as a bridge between regulators and the bullion industry at large; aimed at building Singapore into the leading global precious metals trading hub”, Huxley said.
