Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the program attendees should expect to understand and be able to explain:
- The role of gold in the global economy, its different use cases, and sources of demand;
- The role of different participants across the supply chain from production to end-use;
- The strategic case for gold in an investment portfolio and its role and behavior as a financial asset class;
- The key drivers and factors influencing gold’s performance;
- Some of the main standards and principles that apply to the gold market.
Format:
The program will take place over a day and include a mix of speakers and presentations. A combination or presentations, case studies , and quizzes will be used to deliver the material. Post- programmed reading material will be provided.
Module:
At the end of the program attendees should expect to understand and be able to explain:
- Overview of the global bullion market
- Mining, refining and assaying
- The investment case for gold
- Central bank demand for gold
- Bullion services (including risk management and hedging)
- Practical case studies
Upcoming Course Dates
The 4th WGC–SBMA Academy will be held on Friday, 16 January 2026, starting at 8:30am and running for a full-day session (in-person only).

Course Fees (before GST if applicable):
- SGD 400 per person (SBMA members)
- SGD 600 per person (Non-members)
